February 6, 2014, in Yountville Veteran's Hospital where she was a patient for 27 years.
She graduated from Edison High School in 1947.
Carmelita joined the United States Navy in 1950.

She was preceded in death by her son, Albert Larry Prokop; parents, Jesus and Carmen Rodriguez;
her adopted parents, Antonio and Demetrea Felix; her brother, Mike Rodriguez; and sister, Sally R. Cardenas.
She is survived by her brother, Tommy Rodriguez and his wife Dolores; many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Wednesday,
February 12, 2014, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. followed by aRecitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m.
