Beautiful loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter and sister.
She left this world suddenly on October 8, 2021 at age 69, in Fresno California, where she lived her remaining years. Carmen was raised in different areas of Southern California (Fontana, Ontario Upland)
Carmen is survived by her three children Sophia Rangel; her son Jorge Christopher Vazquez (Rocio Vazquez); and her daughter Joanna Vazquez (Nathaniel Martinez); her mother Ruth (Cuca) Saldana; her grandson Anthony Rangel, her grandson Ronnie Rangel, her grandson Gabriel Rangel, her granddaughter Andrea Rangel, her grandson Jorgie Vazquez Jr., her grandson Andrew Vazquez, her grandson Daniel Vazquez, her granddaughter Mariah Martinez, her granddaughter Arianna Martinez, her grandson Nathaniel Martinez Jr., her grandson Gino Martinez, her granddaughter Cali Bear Martinez, her great grandchild Alexandria Rangel, her great grandchild Ronnie Rangel Jr. and her great grandchild Anthony Rangel Jr.
Carmen is the oldest of eight siblings; brother Joseph S Chavez, brother David S Chavez, brother Jesus S Chavez (passed), brother Mike S Chavez (passed), brother Richard S Chavez (passed), sister Virgina Chavez, brother Arthur S Chavez, brother Gilbert S Chavez.
Carmen proceeded in death by her father Jose (Pepe) Chavez.
Carmen graduated from Fontana High, she worked as an embroidery of flower, a teacher aid, a nurse for 20 years. She loved church, reading and she loved being with her family. Carmen loved being outdoors, gardening, taking longs walks, knitting and drawing. Carmen loved her Mexican music, movies and dancing. She was very close to her son-in-law Anthony R (Kookie). Carmen loved helping others and she was always smiling and laughing. She loved her family very much. Mom was very kind, smart and loving, she will be greatly missed by her family.
A visitation for Carmen will be held Tuesday, November 9, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Tinkler, 475 North Broadway, Fresno, CA 93701. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, November 10, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 475 North Broadway, Fresno, CA 93701. A committal service will occur Wednesday, November 10, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at St Peters Cemetery, 264 N Blyth Ave, Fresno, CA 93706.
