Carol O'Brien, 87, passed away on June 6, 2022, at home under the care of her granddaughter, Colleen O'Brien. Carol was born in California, to Peter and Madge Andreas, who preceded her in death. She was a loving wife to Gerald D. O'Brien and a doting mother to George E. O'Brien, both preceding her in death in 2004 and 2005 respectively. She spent many years of her life working at the family business, O'Brien's Brake Service, and dedicated most of her free time to rescuing, caring for, and ensuring the protection of animals. In her retirement, she enjoyed her television, visiting with friends and loved ones, and spoiling her three cats. She is survived by her granddaughter, Colleen O'Brien, who lived with her for fourteen happy years, and Colleen's partner, Katelyn Spencer. Carol is also remembered by her nephews Peter T. Andreas Jr. and Tracy Andreas and her niece Sheri Hunnicutt, along with their families. A Funeral Service will be held at Stephens & Bean Chapel on Wednesday June 22, 2022 at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, remembrances can be made to Central California S.P.C.A., 103 S. Hughes, Fresno, CA 93706, or any local animal shelter in Fresno.
