Born to Benjamin and Angelyn Lara, Carol was a talented designer who owned and operated Bel Fiore Florals and Gifts. In 1981, she married Robert Peterson, with whom she shared a loving family.
Carol is survived by her husband, Robert Peterson; her sons, Jason Peterson, Brandon Peterson and his wife Mindy Peterson, and Sean Peterson; her grandchildren, Knox Peterson, Cayden Peterson, Lexi Abercrombie, and Kylee Abercrombie; and her brother, Benjamin Lara Jr. She was predeceased by her brother, Todd Lara.
A recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at Stephens and Bean Funeral Chapel, located at 202 North Teilman, Fresno, CA 93706, on January 9, 2026, at 7:00 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place at The Shrine Of Saint Therese, 855 E Floradora Ave, Fresno, CA 93728, on January 10, 2026, at 10:00 am. The committal service will be held at Belmont Memorial Park, 201 N Teilman Ave, Fresno, CA 93706, on January 12, 2026, at 10:00 am.
Carol will be remembered and missed by all who knew her.
