Cathy was born on April 25, 1952, to Stanley and Dorothy Wilkins in Sacramento, CA.
Little Cathy was a beautiful child who learned about her savior at Fresno Peace Lutheran Church with her brothers, Daniel and Michael Wilkins. She kept Jesus in her heart for her entire life.
Cathy met her husband, Barry Aden, in 1969, and have been married since August 4, 1972. She raised two sons, Chadley Joseph Stanley and Brent Collin Barry Aden; and her baby daughter, April Amber Adams Aden.
Cathy devoted her life to Jesus and her family and helping her son, Brent, fight Autism.
She spent years making sure Brent had a wonderful life and was on many TV and radio talk shows explaining and raising awareness of Autism.
Cathy did research and sought treatment all over the country, which greatly helped her son.She was in charge of the Fresno premier and fund raiser for the hit movie Rain Man in 1986.
Cathy and her family moved to Middletown, OH in 1976, to get into the family restaurant business. They also lived in Knoxville, TN for four years, before moving back home to Fresno in 1982.
Cathy worked at Internal Medicine Associates for 25 years and retired on January 10, 2014. She was a Phlebotomist and Laboratory Supervisor. She loved working with medicine and caring for patients. Her patients, co-workers and doctors all became part of her extended family. She loved them all.
Cathy loved family, work and being in her home and garden. She loved the beach and Disneyland but most of all being with her family. Her love of God and Jesus made her life and death complete.
The family wants to thank Nancy Hinds Hospice for their affection and faith and all of her doctors who cared for her.
Cathy's blessed life is survived by husband Barry; and sons, Chad and his wife Krista, and Brent; and daughter, Amber Adams and her husband Kasen; and grandchildren, Andrew, Truth Catherine, September Jane, and Cricket Elisabeth.
She is also survived by her brothers, Daniel and Michael Wilkins; and sisters-in-law; and many nephews and nieces and their families.
A Celebration of Cathy's Life will be held at Hope Lutheran Church on Saturday, March 15, 2014, from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. It will be informal and fun.
