Charles Sol Miller

Charlie was married to Henrietta Miller for 61 years.

He served in the Army in WW II as an aviation cadet. After the Army he went to school to be an educator. He graduated from Chico State College with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He then continued on to Long Beach State College and received his Master of Arts degree. Charles spent 34 years in education and retired in June of 1982.

His special interests were tennis, bridge, singing, and reading.

Charles died September 10th, 2011 at the age of 88.

He is survived by his daughter, Carol Miller Mendiola, son-in-law, Sandy Mendiola and grandson, Benny Mendiola; nieces, Beth Van Valkenburg and Paula Sharky; great niece, Stella Arretche and husband Timothy Arretche; cousins, David Spiro, Paula Hunt and Pearl Simon.

Visitation will be held at Tinkler Funeral Chapel on Thursday, September 15th, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

A graveside service will be held at Beth Israel Cemetery on September 16th, 2011 at 11:00 a.m.

A reception will be held immediately following the service.
