Christine Ann Montoya was born on December 10, 1939, in Coalinga, California to Russell and Dorothy Switzer. She was an only child and the first grandchild, niece, and cousin. She was adored by her whole family and stayed close with all her cousins throughout her life.
On July 11, 1958, she married the love of her life, Keith Montoya. They had two children, Chet Montoya and Cindy Allen. Christine was a dedicated mom who raised her children with love, guidance, and unwavering support.
Christine had a remarkable way of taking care of everyone, especially her husband when he became ill. She unwaveringly took care of him and was by his side until he passed away on October 10, 2010.
Christine’s greatest joy in life were her grandchildren Chase Montoya, Zachary Montoya, Nicholas Montoya, Katie Temmerman and Ross Allen and her great grandchildren Aria Montoya and Kaden Montoya. They were the light of her life and there was nothing she wouldn’t do for them.
Christine passed away peacefully with her loved ones surrounding her on July 13, 2026.
The greatest lesson she leaves behind is not found in words but in the way she lived her life, with open arms and an open heart.
