Claude Jones, 81, passed away on June 13, 2026. Born on October 23, 1944, Claude was the son of Clarence and Leatha Jones and was raised in Gentry, AR. From his earliest days, he carried himself with a steady decency that others could feel—an enduring warmth that made people comfortable in his presence and grateful to know him.
After graduating high school, Claude chose the life of a truck driver, embracing work that demanded long hours, patience, and resolve. He spent several years on the road, meeting each day with the quiet determination of someone who understood the dignity of honest labor. Through it all, Claude remained gentle in spirit, offering kindness without fanfare and showing care through the dependable way he lived.
Claude shared his life with his wife, Shirley, and together they made a profound commitment when they became the legal guardians of their grandchild, Damon. That decision reflected the depth of Claude’s love and the strength of his character—an unassuming devotion to family, and a willingness to do what was needed with steadfast grace.
Claude is survived by his daughter, Leatha Jones; grandsons Justin Veal, Brandon Veal, and Damon Arsiniega; and granddaughter Brandy Veal.
Claude will be remembered as a beloved man whose hard work and kind heart left a lasting mark on those who had the privilege of calling him family and friend.
