Clayton K. Shrewsbury passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at the age of 82 and joined his grandson Daniel C. Shrewsbury in heaven. He was born in Fresno, CA, to William C. and Ruth G. Shrewsbury on November 20, 1930. Clayton graduated from Fresno High School in 1948. He attended 4C’s College and then went to UCLA where he graduated in 1953.
After graduating college Clayton was drafted in the Army where he was first stationed at Fort Benjamin Harrison Finance Center in Indianapolis, IN. He then went to Yokohama and Kyoto, Japan. Clayton was honorably discharged in 1955. After the military Clayton worked as a CPA for Giffen Hills and Carruth and later became a partner with the firm. Some years later Clayton went into business for himself where he worked as a CPA for 60 years.
Clayton enjoyed fishing, hunting, flying, and playing golf at Fort Washington Country Club where he was a member for 41 years.
Survivors include children: Kathy (Skip) Crumal and Bill (Lora) Shrewsbury, 3 grandchildren: Kiah, Caitlyn, and Morgan, 1 great-grandchild: Emma.
A Graveside Service will be held at Belmont Memorial Park on Friday, October 11, 2013 at 2:00 p.m.
