Clinton Edward Polk, also known as "Pops" passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2020 in Fresno California at the age of 79. Clinton was born in Delaware to the parents of Francis Polk and Clinton Maddox on April 4th 1941. He has 6 siblings; Etta Polk, Patricia Elzey, Ella Collins, Barry Polk, Micheal Polk, Louis Brummell Jr.
Clinton was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather who prided him self on being a provider. In addition to being Pops as we know him, Clinton was a noble serviceman in the United States Marines and United States Army. Clinton deployed to Vietnam, where he served as an Infantryman earning 4 Bronze Stars amongst other service awards. Clinton went on to honorably retire from the military as a Master Sergeant in the United States Army in 1980.
Clinton enjoyed watching sports and occasional trips to the casino. He always lent his hand in knowledge and support to anyone who needed. Clinton would never shy away from hard tasks like driving buses full of children to school each day or teaching his own children how to drive. He kept a smile and enjoyed life.
Clinton married Thelmarie (Bigmomma) on November 7,1971 in Paso Robles, California. Although they didn't have any biological children together, they were parents to Bobbie (Harden) Keys, Deborah (Marvin) White, Sheila Walls, Audrey (Donald) Adams and Anna Polk. Grandchildren; James Alexander, Sheree Hutchenson, Lamar Alexander, Shonnieka Walla, Iesha Walls, Daniesha Walls, Aaron White, Teron Willis, Tyneshia White, Amir Bryant, Adrian Adams. They also have many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews who they treated as their own. Both Clinton and Thelma were compassionate foster parents to many children. Clinton, alongside is beautiful wife, created a better life for all of those who's life they touched.
