She lived her life with joy and enthusiasm.
She met the love of her life John Cano Parraz, in the rural community of Corcoran, California. They had two children, John Cardenas Parraz and Lupe Cardenas Parraz. Connie moved to Fresno with her family and obtained employment at Berven Rug Mills. She worked her way up to supervisor. After 25 years of service she retired and began a new life of retirement and travel. Connie traveled to several countries in Europe, including England, Italy, Switzerland, and France. She also traveled to Jerusalem, Telavi, and Masada. She felt blessed when she was baptized in the Jorden River where Christ was baptized. She also felt blessed to walk the paths that Christ once walked.
She was preceded in death by her spouse John Cano Parraz. She missed him for the past thirty-nine years. Now she is dancing once again in Heaven with the love of her life to her favorite song, “In The Mood”. She loved the Big Band Era of the 1940’s.
Connie is survived by her two children; her three Grandchildren Theresa Anne Sprouffske, Jennifer Nicole Parraz, and John Dufresne Parraz; her nine great grandchildren Dannielle, Desiree, Ryan, Zachery, Michael, Aiden, Evelyn, Issac and Dillan; and, her three great-great grandchildren Kiley, Schyler, and Neo.
She loved to tell stories of her many life adventures. She had a full life. She was a great listener and always made people welcome to her home. Wherever she went people of all ages were drawn to her. Even after her passing friends have expressed what a beautiful and loving lady she was and how greatly she will be missed. They also said that she always made them feel like family. She would make authentic Mexican meals for them. Connie gave hugs and blessings to every person who entered or left her home. Her blessings came from the heart and they were touched by her sincerity. She will truly be missed. The enthusiasm in which she lived her life, the care she showed those in need, and the love she expressed to all, will always be in our hearts and minds.
Thank you Mom for all you have given, we love and miss you, now and forever.
We love you from here to the moon and back again.
