On August 23, 1986, Curt married the love of his life, Isabelle Dimitri Kountouris. Together they dedicated their lives to honoring and serving the Lord. After graduating from Chico State, Curtis built a life of devotion to his family, his work, and above all, the Lord. Curtis and Isabelle lived a life filled with joy, humor, adventure, and a love that never wavered.
Curt was blessed to become a father to Sarah Elaine and Paula Suzanna. His daughters were his pride and joy. He supported them, guided them, and loved them. Not long ago, he was blessed with his first granddaughter, Jona. She will be two in May, with a sister on her way in August. Jona loved her “Baba.”
Curtis spent his career in the trucking industry, primarily in sales. Because of his integrity and reliability, he built business relationships that lasted decades. Outside of work, Curt found joy in his family and the outdoors. He loved to camp, surf, fish, and golf. Mexico was their favorite vacation spot, but he also loved Greece.
Above all else, Curt loved the Lord Jesus with his whole heart. He and his wife demonstrated this love by feeding and helping the needy in Fresno.
On April 9, 2026, Curtis left this world surrounded by the people he loved: his wife, daughters, granddaughter, son-in-law, and brothers. He went home to Jesus. His life was a testament to what it means to be a man of God. Curt finished the race, kept the faith, and is now at peace with his Savior. Let us remember him and love as he loved.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday May 9, 2026 at 11:00 am at Whitehurst Sullivan Burns and Blair Funeral Home, 836 E. Nees Ave., Fresno CA 93720.
Graveside Service with Military Honors will be private.
