Darlene was born in the Japanese Internment Camps. She graduated from Reedley High School and later on, Barbering and Cosmetology School.
She met and married her one true love, Frank, and spent 48 wonderful years together. Darlene worked as a hairdresser and eventually stayed home to raise their two children.
Darlene enjoyed shopping, crafting, cooking, and spending time with her many friends, family, and grandchildren. She was also very active in the Japanese Buddhist community.
Darlene is survived by her children, Kelly and her husband Phil Brundage, Ryan and his wife Mai Hashimoto, and her three grandchildren, Phillip, Ben, and Olivia.
Memorial Service will be held to celebrate Darlene’s life at the Fresno Betsuin Buddhist Temple Sunday August 4, 2024 at 1:00pm.
