Mr. David Wayne Butler

Dave was born in Reedley, CA on July 29, 1948, and passed away on Monday, September 29 at the age of 66. He graduated from William S. Hart High School in Newhall, CA and attended the Don Martin School of Radio & TV in Hollywood, CA. He returned to the Valley and spent his entire career working in local radio, TV and The Fresno Bee, beginning with an on-air position, as Dave Young, at radio station KRDU in Dinuba and ending with his work in sales and management for Clear Channel Media in Fresno. He was preceded in death by his father, James; and his mother, Orpha. Dave is survived by countless friends who will miss his charm, his passion for his work, and his quick-witted sense of humor, which he was able to display even in his final days. A Memorial Service will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to Southern California Dachshund Relief, Inc., P.O.
