Debbie will be remembered as a beautiful woman, inside and out, whose warmth was felt the moment she entered a room. She had a gift for laughter—both in the joy she carried and in the way she could draw it out of others. Steady and hardworking throughout her life, she also made time for what refreshed her spirit: the outdoors, camping, and traveling—especially when those miles were shared with dear friends and family. Her love of adventure reflected a heart that welcomed life with openness and courage.
To those who knew her well, Debbie was a source of comfort and strength. She listened without judgment, offered words when they were needed, and gave hugs that reassured and steadied. Yet the devotion that most defined her life was her love for God’s Word, the Bible. A zealous Jehovah’s Witness, she took sincere joy in speaking about and teaching the Scriptures, remaining loyal in her faith to the very end.
Debbie is survived by her son, Victor S. Diaz; one brother; two sisters; and many nieces and nephews and grand nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Agapito and Esperanza Gutierrez; her sister, Mary Olivia McCall; and her brothers, Eloy Gutierrez, Gabriel Gutierrez, and Fernando Gutierrez.
Debbie will be deeply missed and always remembered for the beauty of her spirit, the steadiness of her love, and the faith she lived with conviction.
