He was a professor of ancient history at Fresno Pacific University for over 30 years.
Delbert is preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie, and is survived by his daughter Linda Pauls, MD; and son John Wiens.
A Graveside Service will be held at Reedley Cemetery District, 2185 S Reed Ave, Reedley, CA, Saturday, August 1, 2026 at 9:30 am, followed by a Celebration of Life at Willow Avenue Mennonite Church, 2529 Willow Ave, Clovis, CA at 11:00 am.
