As a fellow member of the 144th Fighter Interceptor Wing of the Fresno California Air National Guard, I had the pleasure of knowing Della since 1972. Della was always friendly and had a wonderful and welcoming smile. She worked in various sections of the base over the years doing clerical work and record keeping. Most of us who with her worked in Flight Operations knew Della as somebody who could be depended on to do her job professionally and with a positive, can-do attitude. Sgt Esparza was well-liked by those she worked with. I am saddened by her passing. But I know she is in a better place with no pain and no tears. Della will be missed, yet she will be remembered by those of us who had the privilege of serving our country with her. Godspeed, Della.

Della, I will always remember being your dance partner in the Marimba band.  You always built my confidence to continue dancing.  Thank you... I never became a dancer, however before retiring as a High School teacher, I had a Folklorico Dance group and I encouraged them as you encouraged me.  Thank you my beautiful friend.  I will miss you and think about you every time I see a Folkloric Dance Group.  Descansa en pas mi hermosa Della.
