Dessie worked as a Laundry Presser and helped operate a Gas Station. She enjoyed sewing and knitting.
Dessie is survived by her daughters, Paulette Adams of Clovis, and Victoria Ward of Oregon; sister, Opal Shephard of Clovis; numerous nieces and nephews including, Glendora Bledsoe, Barbara Johnson, Ben Shephard, and Bob Royer; 9 grandchildren including, Lana Odle and Tim Adams; numerous great grandchildren including, Brett, Randy, Ryan, and Rickie Adams.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2014, at Tinkler Funeral Chapel & Crematory from 1:00pm to 7:00pm.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2014, at Tinkler Funeral Chapel & Crematory at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Fresno Memorial Gardens.
