Diane Marie Gilliam

Diane Marie Gilliam (Flor), of Fresno passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. Diane was born on February 24, 1952 and grew up in Linden, California. She later moved to Fresno, where she met and Clyde Gilliam, her husband of 38 years. The absolute joy of her life was raising her two children, Tiffany and Nick. For many years, Diane could always be found volunteering in the classrooms and playgrounds of Forkner and Tenaya, as room mother and even working in the nurse’s station. Those who knew Diane will always remember her as vibrant, hilarious and beautiful person inside and out who was wholly dedicated to her children, her family, and all those she loved.

She is survived by her parents, Dino and Irma Flor; her sister, Judy Jackson; her husband Clyde Gilliam; her children and their spouses. Tiffany and Jason Badger, and Nick and Stephanie Gilliam; and her granddaughter; Maxine Grace.

A Celebration of her Life will be held on Friday, May 12, 2017, beginning at 1:00 pm, at 30700 Avenue 6, Madera, California 93637. Remembrances can be made in her honor to Valley Children’s Hospital.
