

Nick served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was proud to be a Fresno police officer for 22 years. After retiring from the Fresno Police Department, Nick worked for Bank of America for 10 years. He also enjoyed working security for Sears.
Nick never went anywhere without his camera and he had every tool to build or fix anything.
Nick was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Louise; his daughter, Diane; his great-granddaughter, Kylie; his parents; and siblings.
Nick's most prized possession was his family. He will be deeply missed by his daughter, Jeannine Butler and her husband Tim; grandchildren, Lisa Williams and her husband and Heath, Grant Garrett, Mark Zabzdyr, the twins Shelly Houston and her husband Kade, Emily Zabzdyr and her fiancé Layne Ryan and Nicole Foster and her husband Larry; and 13 great-grandchildren. He also treasured five Butler grandchildren, their spouses and children. He will also be missed by nieces; nephews; and many friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Clovis Cemetery.
