Dora Jensen

Dora Jensen, affectionately referred to as "Doree", was born in Donna, Texas, on December 4, 1927 and passed away, after a brief illness, on December 14, 2020, at the age of 93. She was generous, a good listener, and enjoyed the company of family and friends.

Dora was in the United States Air Force for almost 6 years and received an AA Degree from Fresno City College. For most of her life she was a Home Maker, taking care of her grandchildren and grand nieces and nephews. During the latter part of her life, she enjoyed volunteering at Nancy Hinds Hospice, where her co-volunteers dearly referred to her as "Commander-in-Chief".

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Eugene Jensen; daughter, Norma; and granddaughter, Angela; her parents, Elodia and Isabel Cabrera; and her siblings, Bertha, Johnny and Elia.

Surviving her are her grandchildren: Rhiannon, Liza, and Mathew; many nieces and nephews, including their children, who referred to her as "Grandma Doree"; and many cousins.

Due to COVID, in-person services are very limited; therefore, there will be an opportunity to view virtual live and/or recorded services - The Viewing at Whitehurst Sullivan Burns and Blair Funeral Home and the Graveside Service at St. Peters Catholic Cemetery.

In place of flowers and gifts, donations may be made to Nancy Hinds Hospice or donor's favorite charity.
