Doris Francis Younge, born December 25th, 1942 passed away peacefully in her sleep in the early hours of Thursday morning, April 30th 2020. She had been a long time resident of both San Diego and Fresno, California.
Doris loved gardening, cooking, road trips, shopping and spending time with family. Family meant everything to Doris and that’s how she lived her 77 years. Doris carried responsibilities in life designed to be shared; selflessly devoting her entire existence loving and caring for her children and grandchildren. A remarkable woman that risked her life to save the lives of strangers from a house fire in the late 1980’s. This is who Doris was, a person who put the well being of others before her own.
Doris is preceded in death by her parents Francisco and Veronica Espinoza, sisters Beatrice Heinze, Lily Torres, and granddaughter Ashleigh Hannah Evans.
Doris will be lovingly remembered by her four children Elizabeth Bradley, Veronica Evans, James Younge and Francesca Younge as well as her eight grandchildren Austin Evans, Brendan Bradley, Savannah Espinoza, Alexandria Evans, Angelina Espinoza, Ashleigh Evans, Michaela Bradley, and Skyler Smith all who live in California.
Lisle Funeral Home in Fresno, California has been entrusted with arrangements. Immediate family services for Doris Francis Younge will be held May 12, 2020 at noon, St. Peter’s Cemetery in Fresno, California.
