

On Thursday August 8, 2024 Douglas (Dougie) Allen Wright, beloved husband, step-father, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, passed away unexpectedly at age 53. He was a devoted rail-road employee for 23 years as an Electrician/Mechanic. Doug worked for several different railroads with the most recent being Union Pacific.
Born July 25, 1971 in Gilroy California to Floyd and Della Wright. Doug leaves behind his beloved wife, of 28 years, Jenny Wright. His mother Della Wright, father Floyd Wright, stepmother Laurie Wright, brothers David Wright and Daniel Wright and his wife Susan Wright and their children Corbin and Alana Wright. Stepsons Brennan Milne and Christopher Chownyk, his wife Sharon Chownyk and their children Miss Brooklyn, David and Michael Chownyk.
Mother-in-law Peggy Jarvis and brother-in-law Ronnie Jarvis and his wife Nikolett Jarvis. Stepsisters Kathryn Aycock and Andrea Craddock. And many loving cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his stepfather Tom Anderson, father-in-law Ron Jarvis and brother-in-law Dewayne Throop.
Doug will always be remembered for his infectious smile and laugh. He was known by many of his co-workers as "smiley". He and his co-workers loved keeping the trains rolling down the track. Doug was an avid tinkerer, he was often found spending hours upon hours in his garage building some type of contraption to make a job easier. Early on in his childhood he developed a passion for dune buggies from his father Floyd. Doug would spend many weekends at Glamis with his dune buggy buddies. He loved fishing, RVing and spending time outdoors, but most of all he loved, loved, loved spending time with his wife Jenny. He will be dearly missed by many.
