Duane Iler will be remembered as a man whose positivity and warmth touched everyone he met. He had a deep and unwavering love for his family, always placing them above all else. His presence brought comfort, strength, and joy to those closest to him.
Known for his incredible sense of humor, Duane had a gift for making people laugh. Whether through a quick joke or a playful moment, he had a way of lifting spirits and bringing light into any room. His laughter was contagious, and his kindness left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. Duane was a diehard Dallas Cowboys and Lakers fan even if the season ended up with "there's always next year".
He had a special bond with animals, loving them unconditionally—and they loved him right back. His compassionate nature extended to all living things, reflecting the depth of his caring heart.
Music was one of his greatest joys, especially the sounds of the 1980s. Those songs were often the soundtrack to his happiest moments and will forever remind us of his vibrant spirit.
Adored by many, Duane Iler leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and compassion. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.
Duane is survived by his wife, Theresa Iler; his sons, Zachary Iler and Kobe Iler; his sister, Brenda Garza; his step-mother, Debra Iler; and his brother, Steven L. Iler. He was preceded in death by his father, Stevan Iler, and his mother, Diana Willimon.
A Celebration of Life will be held on On Saturday, April 18, 2026, 3:00 pm at Stephens and Bean.
