Eugene was about 3 months older than me.  We are cousins.  My Grandma's on my Dad's side have the last name of Schaub.   They are deceased.  I went from Kindergarten through my last year of high school with Eugene, so I saw a lot of him.  I'm sure I cannot add much, but maybe I can remind the family about Eugene.  

He was ALWAYS KIND to me.  He had a smile on his face quite a bit.  SUCH a great guy....so friendly!   I trusted him.  He was very mellow.  He didn't get excited by much....just a stable dude.  I lost touch with him after high school,  but I had him as a friend, not just a relative,  for 12 years.  I loved the guy.  He was more of a friend than a relative.  

The picture I am sharing is of me and my Father, Glenn Bock.  My Father's Mother is Gertrude Schaub of Visalia, Ca.  Her mother was my Great Grandmother Grace Schaub of Visalia, Ca.  They were both very dear to me.  They were originally from Illinois.

I do hope that I see Eugene in Heaven.




Tomorrow Will Be One Month Since Your Husband Eugene Left Us.I Know The Loss Was Most Devastating TO You, The Boy's Families, The Whole Family And All Who Knew Him. I Tend To Think Of Him Everyday And My Thoughts Of Course Go Back To You, Tanner, Travis, Dallas, And They're Families. Geno Was Very Special And Cut From A Very Special Cloth That God Created!!! We are so disappointed that we never got the opportunity to get together as Amanda's father and stepmom. It's sad to know how we could have shared some good memories as parents of both Travis and Amanda. We offer our condolences.

Although it has been some time since Gene and I spoke, the time spent in his company was always a happy one! He was one of the sweetest, most kind and big hearted person that I have ever been blessed to have met. I hope you find comfort in the legacy he leaves of unconditional love, hard work, honesty, and integrity; that will in no doubt be carried on by all who knew him.

Words cannot express the sympathy we feel for the loss of Eugene. Over 40 years of memories, both as partners and friends. Remembering the aroma of freshly roasted peanuts from the peanut machine at the Cherry Auction, working for the State Ag Dept., fishing trips, Gardeners picnics at Pine Flat...so long ago yet treasured. Eugene will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Rest in Peace, our friend. Keeping his family in our daily prayers for peace and strength during this most difficult time.
