Born on March 12, 1936, to Francis and Delfina Vivenzi, Eddie was raised in the Central Valley and graduated from Central Union High School in 1955. From a young age, he worked alongside his family, developing a strong work ethic through farming and dairy work.
In January 1959, Eddie enlisted in the United States Army and was honorably discharged on October 22, 1960. On May 20, 1968, he began his own dairy operation, eventually growing his herd to over 100 cows. He devoted his life to the dairy industry and retired at the age of 80.
Eddie fell in love with Patricia in 1970. They married on November 1, 1975, at St. Lucy’s Catholic Church in Fowler, California, and celebrated 50 years of marriage.
One of Eddie’s greatest joys was spending time with family and friends, sharing stories, and especially enjoying conversations in Italian.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Delfina Vivenzi.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia Vivenzi; his children, Michael Vivenzi (Rebecca), Monica Ficher (Manny), Mark Vivenzi (Kim), and Martin Vivenzi (Sarah); his siblings, Tony Vivenzi, Francis Vivenzi Jr., and Adelina Richards; nine cherished grandchildren; and many others who lovingly knew him as “Nono,” a title he treasured and shared with those he loved, both by blood and by love.
Eddie will be remembered for his strong faith, his devotion to his family, and the legacy he built through a lifetime of hard work. His family extended far beyond blood to all those he loved and cared for, and he welcomed all who came into his life as his own.
