Mr. Eddy Nelson, 62, of Madera, California, was born on April 26, 1963, in San Jose, California, and passed away on March 21, 2026. Eddy will be remembered as a man who loved to laugh, and whose presence brought warmth and steadiness to those around him.
Eddy grew up in the Bay Area and was also a former resident of Groveland, California. These roots remained an important part of his story and the life he built over the years.
Eddy served his community through his work with the U.S. Forest Service, where he worked as a firefighter. His commitment to that demanding role and the birth of both his children is what Ed did consider his greatest life achievements.
In 1998, Eddy married Donna Nelson, beginning a marriage grounded in devotion and family. He is survived by his spouse, Donna Nelson; his son, Kenneth Nelson (Bee Lee); his daughter, Jennifer Nelson; his brothers, Nick Nelson, Bill Nelson, and Harold Nelson; and his sisters, Naomi Nelson, Gina, and Jo Dorry (Danny).
He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
Eddy loved music and played bass guitar, a passion that expressed his spirit in a way words often cannot. He will be remembered with respect, and his life will be honored by all who knew him.
