My mother (Edna Pirtle) was and will always be close to my heart. I will always love and miss her, but she will never be forgotten. She was an extraordinary women who raised 4 children, both of my sisters who are Judy and Sondra, my brother George and myself (James) in a most loving and caring home. She and my father made sure that none of us never did without, regardless how hard the times were growing up. I would not trade my mom or my memories of her for anything in this world. I am so thankful that she always loved, cared, nurtured, disciplined and consoled each and every one of us when we needed it most. Most of all she lived with a strong faith and belief in God knowing and teaching us through her daily devotions and prayer that Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior was as real and true in her life as he needed to be in ours. Her main goal in life was that she wanted all who knew her to know Jesus Christ and accept that what he did upon that cross was meant for all to believe and personally receive him into their hearts, so that each one would know that someday they would meet and see each other again in our eternal home in heaven. My mom always believed that we are only here for a short time and that eternity awaits us all.
I love ❤️ you mom and will see you again!

My family is eternally grateful for the prayers and love Edna showed us. When Larry and I were first married Edna gave us our first book by Kenneth E. Hagin which opened the door that later we would become graduates from Rhema Bible College and now pastors in Texas. Edna and her husband George where there the day our son Matthew was born as well as many birthdays and special occasions. Edna was like a grandmother to our son Matthew. Edna is finally home with her savior, Jesus. What a time she must be having! Her Norwegian smile and Christ’s love will be greatly missed.

Edna you will be missed! Thank you for letting me be part of your family for the last 27 years. You were kind to me from the first day we met even though I was your daughters ex husband Girlfriend and now Wife. You never treated me or my kids any different other than members of your family and so much that i can't remember not being at your house for your Birthday and Christmas eve celebrations. We were blessed to have spend many Holidays and Birthdays with you. Even so much that this year we had you for Easter, My birthday, and Mothers day even though you weren't quite up to par. Loved all your stories. I know you truly Loved God and it showed daily. You even Prayed for others when you were lying in the hospital or rehab bed. You always prayed for my family and i will always be grateful. Heaven gained a beautiful angel! Take care of Kirstie for us!!
To the Pirtle family, Your Mom Your Grandmother Your Great Grandmother was truly one of a kind. Thank you for sharing her with me.

Well grandma Edna Pirtle you are where you have wanted to be for so long with so many of your family members and friends. I know you are and forever completely healed from head to toe. You're walking with Jesus and this is where you want each one of your children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and family to one day be with you sharing in the love and eternal home of our heavenly Father. You reminded us all every day that you were praying for us and that you wanted us to walk with the Lord. Grandma I will miss all the times that we got to play games, make lefse, make homemade frozen strawberry jam, drink coffee, eat desserts of all sorts, sing songs, listen to your beautiful piano playing, make us laugh from your funny songs and stories, and you would always say a prayer over us, family the meal and you never left anything out. Grandma I will miss visiting you every morning and helping you lately to make sure your hair was combed and you had your cute bangs, and you always told me when I would leave "may the angels watch over you and keep you safe." So happy that mom and I got to take you back to South Dakota and North Dakota and see where you grew up and meet so many loving family members. What a memorable vacation we had together. All of these times never to be forgotten. Thank you grandma for praying for us all every day that we would know Jesus and have a relationship with Him and we would be saved. You showed us not to live of this world but to put Jesus first before all things in life. He is the Alpha and Omega the beginning and the end. Grand I know that you are there in heaven with so many others. I know that moment you left us here Kirstie was right there with you to show you around in heaven. I miss you but I know one day I will be able to be with you again. This is the ultimate promise when you know Jesus and have a relationship with Him. I love you Grandma Pirtle.
