I just found out today that you passed away.
Eddie, I have so many memories that you were a part of.
Friday nights, going to the Naugatuck mall with you and Ann and my mom and dad... coming home after dinner at The Espresso Restaurant and the four of you playing cards and laughing all night.  I would fall asleep to the sound of the four of you laughing in the kitchen.  You were my father's best friend for many years.
Dad used to call you Eddie Beans.  I guess in Italian, Fasulo means beans.
My dad once told me that my mom told him to stop kidding so much with you because she thought it might hurt your feelings.  Dad said he stopped for a week or two until you asked him, "Hey Dom, is something wrong?  You're not picking on me!"  After that, dad ribbed you and the fun went back to normal.
He and mom were so fond of you and loved you very much, as did I.
I remember you always laughing and smiling.  You used to hate it when I would, as a kid, try to play with your hair!
I have memories of us at the cottage together, you cooking in the backyard on the grill, all the parties we would have when I was small.
You were an integral part of my life, and words fail to express how much you meant to me.  You were, literally, family.
I'll miss you, Eddie.

To my Uncle Ed...will always remember when you gave me your old guitar and you taught me to play some. We sang Italian songs together. RIP
