Edward Collins Ferguson Jr.

Edward Collins Ferguson Jr., age 62, of Fresno, California passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2022. Edward was born March 2, 1960 in Jackson, Mississippi.

Our beloved Father, Son, Brother, Uncle, Husband and Mentor, Ned Ferguson, passed away unexpectedly after having overcome a lengthy battle with cancer which he was diagnosed with following his retirement from over 30 years of military service in 2014. To sum up Ned in one sentence, we quote what he said to his nephew, Eric Jensen, following his diagnosis - "I'm not going down without a fight, so I'm going to fight hard." Ned loved his life. He loved staying active. Most of all, Ned loved his two daughters and his newborn granddaughter, Elowyn, who he'd gab about endlessly to everyone and anyone he could. Ned's friends and siblings remember him by his intoxicating charisma and charm, his ability to dance like Michael Jackson and John Travolta, and the frequent bouts of Scottish accents he'd break into that'd never fail to get a laugh or a smile. We are all going to miss his humor, his selflessness, and the frequent trips to the Sushi Bar for his favorite meal and a cold beer.

A visitation for Edward will be held Sunday, April 3, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Stephens and Bean Funeral Chapel, 202 North Teilman, Fresno, CA 93706. A graveside service will be Monday, April 4, 2022, 11:00 am at Clovis Cemetery District, 305 N Villa Ave, Clovis, CA 93612.
