Edward was born on May 25, 1919, in Chicago, Illinois and went into Mother Mary's arms on Monday, October 4, 2010, in Fresno. He served in World War II as a member of the U.S. Navy Seabees. He did many different jobs. He was a postman, receiving clerk and he worked for the IRS for 30 years.

Edward is survived by his wife, Josephine Figura; his son, John Figura; daughter-in-law, Cathleen Figura; and two beautiful granddaughters who always made him smile, Sophia and Caitlin.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary and a Memorial Mass will be held in the Guadalupe Chapel at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church on Tuesday, October 12, 2010, at 10:00 a.m.
Remembrances may be made to Disabled American Veterans.
