Edward Joseph Medina

Edward was born on June 13, 1999, and passed away on January 19, 2024, at the age of 24.

Edward graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, in 2022 with a B.A. in Political Science with an emphasis in American Government and Politics and a minor in Chicano Studies.

He was a second-year law student at the University of California, Irvine, where, in addition to his classes, he did pro-bono work at the Social Security Disability Project and Clean Air Act Project.

Edward was also a law clerk for a personal injury law firm in San Juan Capistrano and enjoyed collaborating with his mentor on cases. Edward was proud of being active in politics as a Democrat and, had several internships with elected officials and volunteered in campaigns.

He also had a passion for his dogs, filmmaking, making several films and podcasts at UC Berkeley.

Edward was a world traveler with a passion for life that brightened every space with his smile and the sparkle in his eyes. He was witty with a great sense of humor and compassionate for others.

Edward will be deeply missed by his family and friends and forever remain in their hearts. His Great-Grandparents, Edward and Louise Medina, and Grandfather, Gifford Tallmadge, preceded him in death.

Edward is survived by his mother, Rebecca Medina; Grandmother, Susan Medina; Sister, Madyson Wilkins; Uncles, Jeff Tallmadge and Justin Tallmadge; Aunts, Renee Tallmadge and Maggie Tallmadge; Great Uncle Al Medina; Great Uncle and Aunt David and Tamara Medina; Great Uncle and Aunt, Richard and Linda Medina; and many cousins.

Visitation Sunday February 4, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Whitehurst Sullivan Burns & Blair Funeral Home located at 836 East Nees Avenue, Fresno, California.

followed immediately by Committal Graveside Service at Sanger Cemetery, 568 S Rainbow Route, Sanger, CA 93657.
