Eileen Ruth Skiles

CLOVIS – Eileen R. Skiles, 84 died on October 5, 2026, in Fresno, California. She was born March 1, 1942, in Elm Creek, Nebraska, the daughter of Harry and Elva Hasbrouck.

Eileen graduated from Wray High School, Class of 1960, in Wray, Colorado. She married the love of her life, Gary Skiles, and they settled in Clovis in 1985. Eileen was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in July 1976. She and Gary celebrated 64 years of marriage in April of 2025.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Gary, brother, Bernie; her sisters, Josephine, Caroline, Harriet, and Rose; and a great-granddaughter, Gracelyn Shawniak. Surviving Eileen are her sons, Bernie, Sean and wife, Julie, and Destry, all of Clovis, and Darin of Omaha; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; siblings, Cathy Lybarger and husband, Jerry, of Arcadia, NE; two sisters-in-law, Billie Marlatt of Saint David, AZ; and Patricia Korcek of Columbus, NE; and one brother-in-law Newton Skiles and wife, Becky, of North Little Rock, AR; and many nieces and nephews.

A service of remembrance will be held 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 710 N. Sunnyside Avenue in Clovis.
