Elona Alexandra Castro passed into the arms of her beloved Savior Jesus Christ of Nazareth on Sunday, March 3, 2019, at Saint Agnes Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 47. Elona was born on November 4, 1971 in Berlin, Germany, and has been a Resident of Fresno county since 1991. Elona worked at J.M. Hollister, Inc. where she met Ralph her husband of 23 years. They met in the elevator where they caught each others eye and the rest is history. Elona owned and operated her own tanning and nail salon business, Hawaiian Tans for seven years. Elona also worked as a 411 operator for Pacific Bell and as an administrative assistant at the IRS. Elona was a devout Christian, worshiped at Cornerstone Church Downtown Fresno where she also did volunteer work. Elona is survived by her husband Ralph Phillip Castro and two children Talia Alexandra Castro and Seth Magnus Castro. Elona was a wonderful mother and loved her children very much, and was a great spouse. She always lend a helping hand to those in need. Elona loved to sing and dance, fashion and nature. She would sing many old christian hymns and many other songs. Elona always dressed up for any occasion because she believed it was important to make a great impression. Elona loved the rain, she would dance in the rain and love the clouds in the sky. She had many favorite flowers too, and would arrange beautiful colorful bouquets. Elona also loved and cared very much for her pets. She gave them many silly nicknames and they always cheered her up. Elona was a wonderful cook, she made many delicious dishes and was adventurous to try new flavors. She would cook any style of dish, especially Russian. Elona made holiday dinners very special, like for thanksgiving or christmas, and always beautifully decorated the house. The wonderful things about Elona our beloved mother and wife can go on endlessly. We will always love her and keep our precious memories. She will live on in our hearts forever. Elona Alexandra Castro is also survived by father, Michael Choubin Jr.; mother, Diana Choubin; brother, Paul Choubin and a very loving caring family on both sides of her loving parents.
