She attended public schools and graduated from High School in 1942.
Of the things that mattered most to Vera was her family. Vera met her husband, Roman (Ray) and they were married in 1945. They had a long and happy marriage, mostly because she understood the important role of being a steadfast wife, allowing her husband to dunk donuts, watch sports, listen to the radio, and read the paper, all at the same time!
At the time of her death, she lived with her beloved and devoted sister Josephine Blasich in Los Angeles, Ca., who always was a ray of sunshine to Vera.
Vera had one daughter, Lucille Gash, whom she was especially proud of, and who was a special aunt to Nancy, Laura, Camille, Georgia, and Linda. Vera also loved her doggies, Speedy, Winkie, Prieto, Tina, and Katrina.
If Vera were here to speak to us she would remind each of us to be patient with each other, say something kind to one another everyday, laugh everyday, and be kind to animals.
Visitation will be held at Stephens & Bean Chapel, on Friday, July 6, 2012, from 11:00 - 1:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Life to follow at 1:00 p.m.
Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to the animal welfare charity of your choice.
