Her marriage to George Willingham brought her to California which would remain her home and gave her three boys who were the light of her life: John, Steven, and Paul as well as a daughter who sadly died at birth. After George's untimely death, Emma took the reigns as both mother and hard working Insurance Agent. She found success as her enthusiasm for the industry and sharp mind fostered great client relationships.
Though she saw many struggles and hardships and lost many of those she loved in her lifetime, she remained strong, bold, and fearless as she continued to be the matriarch and rock of all her children, grandchildren, and even great-grand children. She loved spending time with her family, baking, telling stories, tending to her beautiful garden as well as attending water aerobics where she made so many great friends. She was known for her generous spirit and most of all her quick wit and sense of humor.
Emma passed peacefully in her home on Wednesday, July 11, 2012, surrounded by the family whom she loved so dearly.
She will be dearly missed as she joins her beloved son and daughter in heaven.
Emma is survived by her two sons, Paul and John; her brother Cal- vin; and countless friends, neighbors and extended family.
