One of seven children she was born in Arkansas on September 13, 1920 to Marion Claude Light and Elizabeth Brock Light. The family left Arkansas when she was a teenager and worked their way to California, where she married and raised two children. She worked in restaurants and eventually settled on a career in nursing at the old Valley Medical Center.
She met the love of her life, Morrison M. Seibert (Shorty), they were married in 1965. This began a wonderful time in her life with many adventures.
She carries on in her six surviving grandchildren: Crystal Perez, Veronica Ugalano, Robert Venezia, Michael Bettes, Renee Brown, Tim Bettes and 16 great grandchildren and 9 great great-grandchildren.
We were blessed to have been a part of her life. She was preceded in death by her 6 Sibling, her husband Shorty, her daughter Delores Bettes Collins, her son Jack Bettes and great granddaughter Alexis Ritter.
A viewing will be held on Thursday August 23, 2018 at Stephens and Bean Funeral Chapel from 2:00 pm to 7 pm.
Graveside Service will be held at Belmont Memorial Park on August 24, 2018 at 1:00 pm.
