Erick,
I thank God for your life!
We are sorry to loose you in such an early age.
I have fun memories when we were little and use to play in Mexicali (on the dusty streets).
Mary,
May the Lord grant peace to you, his wife and little ones.
Love,
Fredy,

Being close friends with Yvonne I gained an older brother in Erick. He was a great older brother that looked out for not only Yvonne, Joey and Michelle but me too. He loved Mary and could always get a smile out of her even when he was being ornery. He was hilarious and good hearted and will be very missed. RIP brother sorry I'm having to say this so soon.

I’m the oldest of my siblings and growing up, the only people I had to look up to were my older cousins. Lucky for me we have a huge family and Erick happen to be one of the cousins that made the time for me when I was around. Sure he didn’t include me in everything he did but he always made me feel like a younger brother when I was around him. I don’t watch wrestling anymore but I recall loving watching wrestling with him. I enjoyed spending time with him so much that I’d try to stay the night at his house when ever possible. I remember one time I was so upset with my mom because she wouldn’t let me stay even after Mary had said it was ok. As we were driving away I asked repeatedly why couldn’t I stay and my mom would only say because I said so. When my mom stoped at the stop sign I jumped out the car and took off running which of course didn’t help me get to stay the night but got a butt whippin, but that’s just how much I enjoyed being around him. I recall us being at my tia Nelly’s swimming in the canal behind her house which happen to divide U.S.A from Mexico. Erick showed me how to fish in that canal; however, we didn’t have fishing poles. Erick grab a empty soda can and poked a hole through it , tied some fishing line on it and begin wrapping the can with fishing line. Once he had enough fishing line that he wanted he tied a hook on and off fishing we went :) The first job I had was inspired by a memory of Erick. I had helped Erick with his paper route a few times as a youngster and when I was a teenager I remember how much fun I had helping him with his,I decided to become a paperboy to make a few bucks. Unfortunately for me I didnt think it was so much fun doing it my self, so that didn’t last long. Overall I have great childhood memory’s of Erick and only a very few as adults as we grew apart on our own paths; however, I still love him as brother and will miss him very much and will never forget him. May god be with you Erick and your Family. R.I.P Erick

I met Erick about 18 years ago . His oldest daughter used to come over to my house and play with my son. He was an amazing person, always making you laugh. He had a way of making you feel right at home. He was always respectful and polite. Not one time did I ever witness him being rude or mean to anybody. I will always remember him as being happy and funny. He really did have a great sense of humor. The first time I met him, he was sitting on his bed with a large bucket of dirt and a plate. He said that he was “panning for gold”. Unfortunately, I didn’t get a chance to see him after he left California. He became part of my family when he married my cousin. I know that she is heartbroken and devastated. Eric, my friend, our lives will never be the same. Rest in peace and know that you were loved and will be missed so much. And to my cousin, I hope that God will give you peace and you can get through this somehow for the kids I love you guys.
