Age 85, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend; born in Santa Paula, California. Later, upon graduating the 8th grade she relocated for work in Central California with her family where they settled in a little town named Malaga. Esther spent most of her pre-teens and teenage years working in the agriculture field to help support her family. Thereafter, she met the love of her life, her neighbor, Manuel Sabino Garcia. When he enlisted into the United States Armed Forces where he was a Private First Class of the 17th Armored Engineer Battalion during WWII she vowed to wait for him. Upon returning from the War, together with their love and admiration of God and family values they grew into a beautiful Union. Later on in her marriage, Esther had two children whom she loved dearly, and pursued employment with a cattle company which eventually turned into a career as a Lab Technician at UC Davis University retiring 30 years later. Esther was a devout Catholic where she was an avid member of St. Anthony’s Mary Claret Parish and taught catechism classes. Her final resting place was Fresno, California where she lived a long and full life with her loving husband of sixty-four years and immediate family. Esther helped raised all her grandchildren and had a hand in the caretaking for them all. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, family gatherings, and spreading the word and love of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and grand daughter-in-laws. Esther was a friend to many and her loyalty and willingness to always help was unmatched. Her infectious laughter and sense of humor captured the hearts of many. Esther is proceeded in death by her parents, Ignacio Haro and Margarita Alfaro; brothers, Manuel Haro, Ruben Haro, Alfred Haro, and sister Lucy Sakata. She is survived by her siblings, Margarita Pierzina, Virginia Duran, Carmen Real, Eva Linda Luna, Ignacio Haro, Amelia Escovedo, Robert Haro, and Lucinda Oviedo; Along with her one loving son, Alexander Garcia; only dear daughter Ramona Morales; and son-in-law, Joe Morales. She also has Eight (8) loving grandchildren who were her world; nineteen (19) great-grandchildren; five (5) great great-grandchildren; and three (3) granddaughter-in-laws.
Services will be held at St. Anthony of Mary Claret and Fresno Memorial Gardens on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 beginning at 10 a.m., followed by an outdoor reception due to Covid-19. The Family has requested masks be worn during the indoor services.
