She was raised on a ranch. She loved animals, She had goats and horses. Evelyn participated in barrel races when she was younger in which she won many awards.
Evelyn decided to move to Fresno in her late 20's where she found employment with Drug Fair and was offered a job as pharmacy tech. That's where she met the love of her life Billy. They dated for awhile and decided to get married. They had one child named her Susan.
Evelyn's passion was growing flowers and plants but most of all her very own vegetables.
She loved spending time with the family. When the nieces and nephews were growing up, many of them would spend the summers at the house.
Evelyn is survived by her brother Richard Darden,
her sister and Brother in law Carl and Phyllis Williams
Her daughter Susan and son in law Ruben Garcia
3 grandsons Andre' Pena and his wife Amanda
