Our beautiful Mom & Lala went to meet her Lord and savior and dance those streets of gold Thursday evening. How truly glorious that will be for her! We all loved her so very much, she was a talent to be reckoned with, she cooked, sewed, ran huge fundraisers for Nancy Hinds hospice and Valley Children’s hospitals. Evelyn made houses into homes with her impeccable decorating skill & her yard looked like it was out of a Home & Garden magazine, but above all Evelyn loved her family.
She could never say enough about her “boys” Steve & Ken, she spent years tending to them and their sports, it was her life, they were her life. She was an attentive & loving wife to Wendell for 46 years and truly her heart broke after his passing! As for being “Lala” to her Grandbabies Whitney, Amy, Ashton & Bryce, they were her pride & joy, if she had a listening ear, she would beam about them!
Evelyn loved the holidays and made everyone feel welcome, she loved serving people. Her neighbors knew Evelyn for her daily brisk walks and neighborly waves as people left for work every morning, they loved Evelyn and so did we, we will miss her and honor her and can’t wait to be dancing with her one day.
If you know Evelyn, you’re smiling thinking
“Yep, she’s dancing up in those heavens, rocking that new body with no pain or disease & no doubt bright red lipstick.
Forever our mom & precious Lala …
We love you
