She graduated from Sanger High School in 1941. On June 19, 1943, she married Alfred Helmuth.She was employed by J.J. Newberry, Homelite, and Valley Industrial and Family Medical Group, retiring in 1997.
She was a faithful volunteer at Kaiser Hospital for 16 years, and was a member of the Twilight Haven Guild for many years.
She is survived by her husband, Alfred; daughter, Karen Helmuth Dobbs; grandchildren Julia and Robert Loewen and Bethany and Richard Nichols; great-grandchildren Emily, Alexis, Joseph and Ethan; and sisters Marian Deis, Eleanor Roberson and Darlene Casey.
She is predeceased by sisters Edna Metzler and Jerine Waughtal and brother Henry Klamm.
Evelyn went to be with her Savior on March 30, 2013.
