

A lifelong residence of Fresno Co., Evelyn Marshall went to God’s home the afternoon of July 29, 2014. She was born to George Fleming and Eva Manly of Friant, CA., March 21, 1925. Her early years were divided between the Friant Ranch and Clovis. She graduated from Clovis High School in 1942, a member of the marching band and class secretary. She continued on to earn her BA from Fresno State and then her nursing degree from the Army Nursing Corp.
As a nurse, she worked in the ER, private practice, care facility and retired as school nurse of Sierra High School. Retired from nursing, she resumed her life as a cattle rancher.
Evelyn married her childhood friend, George Marshall on July 1, 1946. Together for the next 58 years, they raised five children; Doug, Cindy, Pat, Susan and David. She was blessed with laughter and love from her kids, their spouses, 14 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
A Memorial will be held Friday August 15th at her home from 10 am until noon.
