

He was born on July 9, 1929 in Madera County. He was a member of Operating Engineers for 52 years. Frank spent a lifetime of service to others including heavy equipment operator, transportation, maintenance and mechanical repairs of all construction equipment.
He traveled extensively early in his career driving for Allied Van Lines, then his career in construction included Lloyd E. Tull Construction, Robert Ellsworth Construction and Floyd Johnston Construction Co.
Some of the most memorable times of his life were spent outdoors fishing, camping and most of all, storytelling. Spending time with his family and friends gave him great joy in the years following his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Antonio and Maria DeBenedetto, originally from Italy; and 11 brothers and sisters.
Frank is survived by his wife Barbara, of Fresno; his sister, Catherine of Santa Maria; five daughters and three sons, Angela Curtis of Santa Cruz, Karen Perez and husband Robert of Clovis, Judy Rose of Oakland, Frank DeBenedetto, Jr. and wife Cynthia of Clovis, Dino DeBenedetto of Clovis, Genevieve Fitch of Fresno, Sherry Conner of Missouri, and John Moody of Missouri. Frank also enjoyed 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 16, 2015, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
A Memorial Service will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Thursday, December 17, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. A Graveside Service immediately following at Belmont Memorial Park.
