Born on October 16, 1934, in Hillsboro, Kansas, Franklin was the son of Franklin and Sara Heinrichs. He graduated high school, and then went on to dedicate 57 years of his life to his career as an agricultural harvester. Franklin also found joy in woodworking, a favorite pastime that brought him great satisfaction throughout his life.
Franklin was preceded in death by his cherished wife of 50 years, Sylvia Heinrichs. He is survived by his children, sons Dale Heinrichs and his wife Ann, Dean Heinrichs, and daughter Debbie Fries and her husband David. Franklin's legacy continues on through his grandchildren, Zedekiah Fries and his wife Denise, Samuel Heinrichs and his wife Katherine, Tynin Fries, Callista Nelle and her husband Brent, and Sara Heinrichs, as well as his great-granddaughter December Fries. He is also survived by his sister, Rachel Harder, and her husband Bob, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service for Franklin will be held at Fresno Memorial Gardens, located at 175 S Cornelia Avenue, Fresno, California, on July 5, 2025, at 10:30 am. Pallbearers for the service will include David Fries, Zedekiah Fries, Dean Heinrichs, Samuel Heinrichs, Sara Heinrichs, and Brent Nelle.
