November 28, 2012, at the age of 101.
He worked as an engraver for the San Francisco Chronicle and Colliers Publications in Ohio. Upon returning to California, he settled in Fresno and worked for Utility Trailers for 25 years.
He was preceded in death by Mary Lucille Bergander, his wife of 62 years.
Fred is survived by his son, Fred Ernst Bergander, Jr. and his wife Mary of Juneau, Ak.; his daughters, Marilyn and Linda Bergander of Fresno; his granddaughters, Rhonda and Holley; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Lisle Funeral Home on Monday, Dec- ember 3, 2012, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.
A Holy Rosary and Mass will be held at the Nazareth House, 2121 N. 1st Street, Fresno on Tuesday, December 4, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Belmont Memorial Park.
Remembrances may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
