Loving Husband, Father and Friend, Rick Schwabenland touched so many hearts before he went to be with the Lord on September 28, 2011. Rick was born in Fresno, CA on October 3, 1952 to Eugene "Doc" and Lorraine "Lo" Schwabenland.
Rick grew up in Kerman and attended Madera High School where he loved to play Baseball. He graduated 1970, and then attended Reedley College before beginning his career in agriculture. He was very passionate about his family and friends. During his 58 years Rick managed to put a smile on a face of every person he came in contact with. He was a master of joke telling and if you had the chance to know Rick you had the chance to really laugh.
Rick was preceded in death by his father "Doc" Schwabenland.
Rick is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Jo Ann; his two daughters Katie and Kylie; Andrew, who he loved like a son.. He is also, survived by his mother, Lo; his two sisters, Cathy Jerkovich and husband Jim, Jean Anderson and husband Don; and brother, Robert "Bob" Schwabenland. He leaves behind a multitude of nieces, nephews and abundance of loving friends who will miss him greatly.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund for the family has been set up at EECU.
