He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Florence Shimada of Fresno; his daughter, Grace Shimada of Fresno; and his brothers, Dr. Mas Shimada of Sacramento and Dr. Dick Shimada of Clovis.
He is preceded in death by his son, Eugene Shimada.
Visitation will be held at Lisle Funeral Home on Friday, January 20, 2012, from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at Lisle Funeral Home on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 2:00 pm.
