Garry Lee Reeves, an adventurous and brave soul, passed away on March 2, 2025, at the age of 80. Born on August 21, 1944, in Santa Paula, California, Garry's life was a testament to devotion, humor, and hard work. Residing in Fresno, California, he was cherished by all who knew him.
Garry graduated from Central High School and went on to serve his country with distinction in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. After his military service, Garry applied his skills and dedication as a refrigeration mechanic with Producers Dairy, a career he pursued for over three decades.
An individual with many interests, Garry found joy in woodworking, hunting, and fishing. His time was often spent enjoying the simple pleasures of life, always thoughtful of those around him.
Garry leaves behind his devoted spouse, Antoinetta Reeves, and his loving children, daughter Annette Engelman (Lonnie), and son Vincent Reeves (Kelli), his son, Mario Reeves (Kelli), and his grandchildren, Tyler Hodges, Ryne Engelman, Drew Engelman, Zane Reeves, Nolan Reeves, Garrett Reeves, and Jake Reeves. Additionally, he cherished his great-grandchild, Callahan Engelman.
Garry is survived by his brothers, Carl Reeves and Steve Reeves. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Helen Reeves, and his sister, Lydia Reeves.
His thoughtful and loyal spirit was appreciated by friends and family, and he will be dearly missed.
A visitation will be held on March 20, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Stephens and Bean Funeral Chapel, located at 202 North Teilman, Fresno, CA 93706. Following this, a graveside service will take place on March 21, 2025, from 10:00 am to 10:45 am at Belmont Memorial Park, 201 N Teilman Ave, Fresno, CA 93706. Pallbearers include Tyler Hodges, Ryne Engelman, Drew Engelman, Zane Reeves, Nolan Reeves, Garrett Reeves, and Jake Reeves. Honorary pallbearers are Mel Watts, Bobby Weakley, and Tex Wilson (deceased).
