Genevie Garica Figueroa

On May 6, 2015 our beloved wife, mother and grandmother Genevie Garcia Figueroa went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ after 80 years and 22 days of faithful service. She passed away in her home surrounded by her loving family.

Genevie was born to Mariano and Magdalena Garcia in Los Angeles, CA on April 13, 1935 and resided in Fresno, CA for most of her life. She is survived by her husband of 51 years Roy Figueroa; her son and daughter-in-law Nathan & Elizabeth Figueroa, her daughter Abigail Figueroa; grandchildren: Kenneth & Brandi Figueroa, Richard & Dominique Ruen, Katelyn, Nathan Jr, Sabrina, Casey and Andie; one great-grandson Owen Figueroa; and two sisters Marion Hernandez & Mary Aguilar. She is preceded in death by her brothers John & Pete Medellin and sisters Veronica Penuna, Nellie Garcia, and Wilma Canel.

Genevie was a strong, beautiful, loving, and hardworking woman who dedicated her life to serving others and Christ. She will be forever missed and never forgotten. By faith we know that we will see her again in Heaven with Jesus.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2015, from 6:00 - 7:00pm; a Wake Service will be held from 7:00 - 9:00pm.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at 10:00am. Interment will follow at Fresno Memorial Gardens.
